I need at least 13 graphics ports on a 5.1 Mac pro, so hopeing I can use an eyefinity6 card to get the six outputs working.
I dont need the actual Eyefinity screen spreading bit to work, just six individual outputs running 'normally'. If that makes sense?
Tripple head to go's arent really working for me at the moment, they are too un-reliable.

Yeah, it might work, however, you will lose your Apple boot screen at startup. About the only mac graphics cards with 4 outputs are evga's GTX 680, maybe Sapphire's 7950 Radeon. I think Kramer and atlona make a 1:4 MiniDisplayPort distribution amplifier

Dont mind loosing the boot screen one bit, I dont use bootcamp on it or anything.
Yes it is a tall order, but who doesnt like to push the boundarys.
So ill be running two 7870 Eyefinity6's and one single slot, bog standard apple graphics card of some sort.
Will check out the other options you mentioned now.
Yes I had the same card and worked fine without any hacks, but you have to get external power if you want to run 2 of them

I used it under both with no issues but stay away from the recent 10.9.3 update as that has killed a lot of multiple monitor support for people
Just put the card in, can only get two monitors to work at once, not three, or six. I was running 10.9.2, then jumped to the 10.9.4 Beta 1, same issue. Any ideas?
Running two TV's just fine, but pluging in a Cinema Display using a MINI-DP to DVI adapter kills all three screens.
If I have three TV's connected, only two will ever display at once.
Anything im missing?
OK, so same issue running windows 7 via bootcamp without installing any extra drivers. I cant enable the third monitor.... Hummmmmm......

maybe you need active DVI adapters? i ran 3 apple 27 displays under both with no issues at all, but these are connected with mDP
I thought you always wanted to install drivers (AMD or Nvidia depending) running Windows, always better than the stock Apple driver.
Thanks everyone! All working now. Just to add my bit to anyone else wanting to do the same, If your wanting to got to VGA on any of the ports you'll need an active mini-dp to HDMI plugged into an active HDMI to VGA adapter. So adapter to adapter to VGA monitor (Both Active).
