No 'full' wifi connection with Samsung SE-208BW optical SmartHub

I recently bought a Samsung SE-208BW optical SmartHub wireless DVD writer. I want to play a DVD through the wifi connection. To do this I have to connect tot the wireless network of the SE-208BW and use the SmartHub app.

I also have an Android device, a Moto G. When I connect to the SmartHub network with this telephone and start the app, I can watch the content of it with the built in DVD player function. I also can change the settings of the SmartHub device, such as the SSID, DHCP server settings etc. in the web interface (when i surf to http://192.168.208.1).

When I connect to the SmartHub wth my iPad, no wifi symbol is shown in the upper left corner. However, I have access to the web interface from within the app or directly from the browser. The app says 'Wi-Fi is disabled'. Because of this I can't acces DVD or USB media that is connected to the SmartHub. I can't use the DVD p[layer function to watch movies etc.

I hope anyone can tell me what cases this. I have a sort of connection with the SmartHub, but not fully. I have already reset the device, this didn't help.

iPad, iOS 7.1.1

I had the same problem..and solved it by connecting the device once with a networkcable to the same wifi router (or switch) you use in your home. When it's connected by wire choose the SSID of the SE-208BW in your wifi settings on the iPad. By doing so I will connect very fast and you can start the Smart Hub app. After this make sure you register the iPad (use Smart Hub app on iPad). If the registration is complete you can take out the UTP-cable and everything works via WIFI!

Good luck.
