Question

Trigger EXS24 via sidechain audio source

I'd like to trigger a sampled kik from an audio track of kik drum. I chose the audio track as the sidechain source in the EXS24 but am not getting any trigger. How do I trigger, and how do I map to the specific sample I want triggered?

It doesn't work this way. The EXS24's sidechain is not for triggering samples, it's for modulation them with an audio source.

Take your kick track, use the audio-to-score function to convert it into MIDI notes, and use them to trigger your kick sample.
