Logitech 700 Gaming Mouse

Hi,

I bought a Logitech Gaming Mouse G700. (wireless) for my iMac 21'' late 2013 model. The iMac detects the mouse and I can use the basic functions, moving and normal klicks for two mouse buttons. But that's basically it.

I downloaded the Logitech Gaming Software for Mac, but once installed, it refuses to detect the mouse. This connectivity program however does recognize it correctly. I tried the mouse on a windows 7 system, where both, software and mouse are working fine.... the mouse is detected.

The logitech support was little helpful. They say now, the problem is that I need a USB 2 port... but the iMac has only USB 3 ports.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks in advance

Tom

Are you trying to use this mouse with Windows installed on your Mac?

According to the specs of this mouse, it is NOT Mac OS X compatible.

So, this may explain why the mouse is not working as expected.

You get basic functionality from this mouse under OS X but that is it.

If you run Windows under BootCamp or in Virtualization software, you might get this mouse to work the way you want, but I don't do Windows, so I cannot guarantee it it will or won't work under these conditions.

You may need to do some research to find a Mac OS X compatible gaming mouse to use with your Mac.

Most Gaming style mice DO NOT WORK with Mac OS X.
