Will Apple fix the battery drainage problems with ios 7.1.2?

The next IOS is 8 which should come out in the fall.

None of us here know anything about future releases, but since the vast majority of users have no battery issues with 7.1.1, don't expect a "fix."

There is no such thing as "excessive charging." You could leave it plugged in 24/7 and it wouldn't damage your phone.

If you've done all the troubleshooting that is provided and you restore as new and you still have issue.

No. Then most everyone would have this problem. I doubt you've talked to "most" of the well over 100 million iPhone 5 and 5S owners.

No, I have 3 devices on 7.1.1 and have no issues.

At work we have over 30 iphones on 7.1.1 and nobody has complain to me that their having battery issues.

You bought a lemon, as far as I know, if it is a new 5S the IOS would be 7.0.4 and you would need to update to 7.1.1, I haven't seen a 5S preinstalled with 7.1.1.

As already stated take it back to the shop and get your money back, and then buy a phone from an Authorized Apple dealer.

Nope. iOS 7.1.2 made my battery drain so fast. It has made the iphone basically almost useless. I have to do next iOS update which is iOS 8 or get another smartphone.
