Yes, there is. Buy a retail Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

Niel, the 10.5 disc only works if you have at least 1 GHz Mhz on an iMac (the 800 Mhz and lower iMac G4s do not natively support 10.5 without special software known as LeopardAssist). Also it does not support Classic.
Upgrading to 10.4 or later, removes file search capability for Finder's Find File on its own, and ties it to Spotlight, and replaces it with Spotlight which can be much slower. If you are just searching for file name, you may find older versions of these software may work better than Find File under 10.4 or later:
