how to uninstall MacKeeper

I installed MacKeeper thinking it was sanctioned by Apple - can anyone tell me how to get it unstalled from my Macbook Pro?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

First, that's an almost comically bad video... you can't see what's going on on the screen most of the time, it spends time stepping through things that are not hard to figure out on your own and you have to listen to the guy's sniffles the whole time. And then he puts his thumb over the lens for a while at the end! 😁

As for using this to solve a problem with constant MacKeeper pop-up ads, this is total overkill and may be utterly inadequate, depending on details of how you proceed after reinstalling the system. If you restore from a backup, for example, you may just restore the adware that is causing the problem.

For a real solution to this problem, see some of the other recent advice on this topic.

I have stupidly not only downloaded and paid for Mackeeper, but I paid one of their representatives to 'clean and service' my computer. You mention 'unencrypting' any data that was encrypted with Mackeeper but can you please advise how to do this? As someone from Mackeeper has done this for me, I haven't a clue how to undo it before uninstalling. Thank you.
