When I mail anything through my signed on Icloud account, someone else's name keeps coming up, it is someone I know but they have not hacked my account. it seems when I did the IOS 7 update something merged? Any help is appreciated.
If you are talking about your sender name (the name that appears on the From: line when you send emails) for your iCloud email account on your iOS device, to change it go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap iCloud under Accounts, tap your iCloud account at the top of the next screen, tap Mail at the bottom of the next screen, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.
A couple of things you can check. First, open your contacts and see if this person is in your contacts. If so, delete the contacts. Next, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>My Info (in the Contacts section) and make sure you have selected the correct contact for youself. While you're there, check the Mail section to be sure you have Always Bcc Myself turned off. Then tap Default Account (if it's listed in the Mail section) and make sure you have selected iCloud as your default account. Finally, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then turn Mail back on. This will delete, then add back your iCloud email account.
Then send another test email to yourself and see if anything changed.
I did that but it did not change it, I am not sure but I think it could actually be cc the person's whose name appears, this is so confusing, I tried to find a part on settings for that. It's like automatic if I forward a link or send a fax it shows this person's name along with the recipient and I don't see my name except on the signature of my email. thanks for your help
Okay, it is showing me as the cc(my email address) but recipient is automatically putting this other persons name and then whoever I am sending it to, this poor girl is probably getting hundreds of emails from me each week,

Send an email to yourself and see if the name appears on the From: CC: or BCC: line.
So your email address is next to CC: and this other person's address is next to To:, is that right?
And Laura is not you?

Can you delete the persons name. I thought had deleted last name when writing this thread. I don't see a way to delete or edit it myself
