i bought an iphone5 from a friend of mine working on the airplane and when i got home I charge the phone and find out that the iphone is being lock on an icloud account. I try to find who is the first owner of the phone but fail to do so. So i want to find out how to unlock this phone for me or if you can get the owner of this phone so i can chat with him/her about this phone.

The bottom line is, that you don't know what the provenance of those phones is any more than we do. You bought it from a "guy" who buys them as lots at "auctions"? So, where did they all come from? I don't know. Do you?
Whether you do or not, whether or not they are totally legit, or a broken device from your friend's kid, who doesn't know what password he put on a device, at the end of the day, there is only one answer:
You must either get the Apple ID and password that is signed into Find My iPhone, and use those to turn it off and remove the Activation Lock.
If you cannot get the original Apple ID and password, then you need the ORIGINAL sales receipt, a photo ID, and the device, which you can then take into an Apple Store, and they should be able to remove the lock for you.
The provenance of the device is really irrelevant here. The rules remain the same regardless of where the phone came from - either turn off the Activation Lock with the Apple ID and password that were used to put the lock on, or present the ORIGINAL sales receipt along with the device and ID to see if Apple can remove it for you.
You can do one or the other. Passing no judgement here - just telling you what you need to do to get it unlocked.

i love how everyone assumes that someone asking about an icloud bypass has a stolen phone! you know what they say about assuming right?
i know i have been looking for a bypass and thats because i sold an old iphone4 to this chick locally and see contacted me back the same day saying it wasnt connecting to her carrier and wanted to return it and me being the honest person i am didnt have an issue with this gave her $ back and went on my way. i took it to my local carrier where "I" bought the device new and asked them if they could check it and see it maybe it was a bad sim etc. but lucky me she has it locked to her icloud and do you think she will answer me now or be a good person and just delete the device from her icloud **** no. whats somebody like me to do when this happens. from what i found nothing I"AM screwed and all because other people are dishonest! LOVE it!
i think you are the one @ fault here and more i can provide more than enough proof i paid for my devices... but its good to see the assuming lives to what they say about it lol

If whoever sold it to you can't remove the lock, then the odds are extremely high it wasn't theirs to sell.
Turn it over to the police. If they determine it isn't actually stolen, then they will give you back your fancy paper-weight after some period of time. If they find the owner, they'll return it to them and you'll be in the clear. If you don't, and they later find that you have it and it is stolen, you'll be arrested.
By the way, posting your phone number on a public forum is simply brilliant...
Oh, and proof that you "paid for it" does NOT equate to proof that it is not stolen. You may want to educate yourself a bit.

i have and only will buy my apple products from A the apple store that i have and will continue to wait in long lines on release days or B @ my at&t store got it! i never said I bought this iphone off a 3rd party thats just stupid.
i have been a loyal apple customer since the days the ibook that i built on apples website. i didnt come on here to get called something iam not and SHAME on you for thinking automatically that my device is stolen! grow up! i came here to say that simply that for the people like myself that have a idevice that is icloud locked and can provide an apple or cellular carrier recipe along with anything esle that is needed box etc ID , apple ID they can see all that they are the original buyer and mistakes happen should be able to have there idevice unlocked by apple! its cut and dry people if you dont like it sorry. have a great day people.
I agree with you about this problem. We tell them that the previous owner of the iPhone that we have in our hands are nowhere to be found, so we can talk to them and have them unlock their icloud and remove the item from their account...
How can we talk to the previous owner if we're unable to contact them or don't know them..

What would expect someone to do about that? If YOU can't contact the previous owner, then without violating about a million privacy laws, how would expect anyone else to? There is simply no way for anyone to find out who put the lock on the phone except you. You know who you purchased it from - track them down. If you purchased it from a stranger, and you cannot contact them, then you took the risk.
If you purchased it from someone on eBay, then you can contact eBay to get them to help straighten it out for you.
Sorry, but only you can rectify this situation.

Bottom line is... NOT EVERYONE steals them. and people who just get rid of damaged electronics sometimes dontknow to go remove it. my 76 year old grandmother has an galaxy S6 you think if it breaks she is going to know how to remove her google account to unlock it. NO she is going to either call me to fix it. OR just throw it away or give it to one of the grandkids. now if they dont know its locked and they just want to try and make a couple bucks and sell it... well then gues what that buyer now has a locked phone... do you fallow how it is VERY possible to receive locked items from people who just dont care to remove, forget to remove their locked devices. I have been working on phones and other electronics for many years. I know there is no way to unlock any iPhone unless either jailbreaking which I dont do. OR buying some third party unlock and either the IMEI changes or you have a vulnerable device. again. I dont think I could say this any other way. It would be nice to be able to contact apple on a device that is locked and have them contact the previous owner via email and put me in contact with them about the device. and if they want it back they just pay the shipping cost. peope make mistakes so for people to assume its locked so its stolen is just a ignorant thing to automatically assume. But what ever, I see everyone on here has to be a thief right... hahahaha moving on...

No. What this tells us is that you are a criminal, as is your "friend" who sold you the stolen phone.
Turn it over to the authorities. You are guilty of receiving stolen property.
Then if you cannot contact the previous owner of the device, you cannot activate it. Return it to where you purchased it and get a refund. The device is useless to you.
