Cover Flow view

I've been using the free Cover Flow application thats been out for awhile. It looks like apple bought them out or something.

Anyways, the stand-alone Cover Flow application did a few things better.

1. The album art could bounce. Apple's implementation only allows for horizontal movement.

2. This is HUGELY annoying: Apple's implementation does not load the album art until it is on the screen or you play the song. Until then, the album art is the default black itunes art. The stand-alone Cover Flow would preload everything so there is no lag in flipping through music.

Any one know of a way to fix the preloading to force all the album art to load?

yeah, puzzling.
I have that folder ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iTunes/
it's empty.

And also this one...
~/Music/iTunes/Album Artwork/Local/F4899C5FC6A0C607/00
and many more 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 etc
and inside each...
there are more, 02, 08 or various other combinations and then
inside those more, 08, and then inside that 00 and THEN a file...

what is a ".itc" file?

just a guess: iTunes Cache?

In my experience (removed the 'Local' folder a few times) the Local folder contains the 'cache' files for Cover Flow.
Remove the folder and CF becomes sluggish, until it has scanned all song files when slowly browsing through CF.
After that the Local folder is filled up again (about 80 MB for my 4000 songs (542 albums)) and CF is speedy again.

I have the same problem. I stopped using Cover flow because it doesn't work so nicely. When I go to my library, the library always has those blank covers (even "Bought files"-library which has all the covers and I've loaded them to cache many times. But they always show some of them blank and I must stop at a blank cover to load it and few blank covers next to it.

I wish this gets fixed because it takes away the coolness of the whole idea of browsing your covers!!!!
