On the iPad (ios7), when I try to manage dictionaries, I get with some dictionaries (oxford, apple) not a cloud-with-arrow icon, but only a circle, and I cannot download the dictionary. This situation arose after I clicked the icon 'cross' of the dictionaries. It was not my intertion to delete them, but apparently I have. How to get them back? Please help.

i cannot delete ibooks after upgrading to ios 8.1.1 and i lost the built-in dictionary too. ibooks is now a built-in app it seems. do you have any suggestion though?
You cannot delete it on your device, but you can delete it in iTunes.
IT really worked for me. I had to select English UK, as the only language, but did it in 3 times... Then my dictionaries started to download again. And it is done.
after that, I changed the language again and everything was ok.

and it happened to me with iOS 9.2.... So the bug is still there....
