Print Driver for Epson PictureMate Deluxe

I have an Intel MacBook and am trying to set up an Epson PictureMate Deluxe photo printer. I downloaded the install from the Epson website for the intel Mac, and am able to see the printer and print. The problem is that I am not using the right print driver. Does anyone know which printer driver (specifically by name) is the correct one to select in the Printer setup window?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Here is what I found from another thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1977248&#1977248

It helped me, though I still had to install the driver downloaded from Epson:

=======================

Thank you for contacting the Epson Connection.

Your printer uses resident drivers which have been built into 10.4 itself.
These drivers are the most current available as of the release of OS 10.4
and support all the functions that they had in 10.2 and 10.3, however they
need to be added properly in order to work correctly for you on the new
Intel Duo Core.

No Downloads or Updates are required as these drivers are now resident
within the OS. If a CD or downloaded driver has been installed, a mix of
files will be present and the driver may not add or work properly. If this
seems to be the case, please follow the instructions below to completely
remove and reinstall the resident Epson driver package for your printer.
You can leave the printer on and connected throughout.

REMOVE FILES

1. Double click on the MAC HARD DRIVE.
2. Double click on the LIBRARY folder.
3. Double click on the PRINTERS folder.
4. Drag the EPSON folder to the trash can.
5. Close any open windows.
6. Double click on the MAC HARD DRIVE.
7. Double click on the LIBRARY folder.
8. Double click on the RECEIPTS folder.
9. Delete any EPSON receipts.
10. Close all open windows and restart your computer.

REINSTALL THE EPSON DRIVER PACKAGE

1. Insert your Mac OS X 10.4 Install disc. Open CD when it appears on the
desktop.
2. Find and double-click on the Optional Installs.mpkg.
3. After the installer opens, choose the following custom install options:
-Check PRINTER DRIVERS and use arrow next to this entry to expand this
category.
-Check EPSON below the PRINTER DRIVERS heading. (You do not need to
install other manufacturer's packages.)
4. Click INSTALL (or UPGRADE) and follow prompts to reinstall the resident
Epson printer driver package. Remove the OS CD and then restart the
computer after installation is complete.

READD THE PRINTER

1. Go into HD > Applications > Utilities and open the Printer Setup
Utility. The PRINTER LIST window appears.
2. Highlight and delete any existing references to your Epson printer. (If
you want to be thorough and do not have any other printers on the Mac,
choose PRINTER SETUP UTILITY from the top of the screen and RESET PRINTING
SYSTEM. Confirm resetting the system. This clears any existing printer
entries and queues. If you have other printers on the Mac and use this
reset, you will need to readd them later.)
3. Turn the printer OFF and back ON to make the Mac redetect it and add it
to the list automatically. (Do not change the PRINT USING field. Selecting
EPSON here would add a GIMP Print driver which does not support all of the
functions of the resident Epson driver. Epson does not support or recommend
these third party drivers.)
4. If you have other printers on the list, make the Epson entry the
default.
5. Close the Printer Setup Utility and try a test print from any OS X-based
application.

*NOTE: If the printer does not show up on the list, it may mean a lack of
detection. Ensure the printer is online (no red error lights) and connected
directly to the Mac. Try moving the cable end to other USB ports, if need
be. If you have not done so already, you can also try resetting the Printer
Setup Utility, as described above.

If you are working with a printer model which supports borderless and/or
roll paper printing options, you will be able to select these options in
the program you are printing from as you set up your print job.

1. Once you have an image or file open, go to File > Page Setup.
2. For FORMAT FOR select the Epson printer name (rather than ANY PRINTER)
3. Select the appropriate Paper Size. If your printer supports different
layout features, each paper size will have several different options. For
example, the 4x6 paper size will have an arrow pointing right which offers
choices of 4x6 Borderless, 4x6 Standard-Minimize Margins, etc. Pick the
paper type plus layout/margin option you want to use here.
4. Click OK on Page Setup. You are now ready to print.

I am having the same problem. I installed the driver from the Epson site specifically for the intel macs for the PictureMate Deluxe. When I try to add the printer, the drive is not listed. The funny thing is that I do see the plugin for that printer when I look in the finder (Library>Printers>Epson)
