Face time problem

When using face time on my iPad 2 I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Anyone have an answer?

If they can't hear you then you know its a microphone issue. If you have headphones that have a mic on them like the ones that come with the iPhone, you can plug it in and see if you can communicate. If you can then that further verifies that the external microphone is not working. You can follow this guide to troubleshoot external mic issues. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5183 It is for the iPhone but the same basic principles apply. You can find Apple's tech specs here to see exactly where your iPad model's microphones are located. http://support.apple.com/specs/ Obviously, if none of those steps fix your issue, you will need to get the iPad serviced.
