Rear camera not working, but front camera does

I tried to take a picture this afternoon with my iPhone 5S, and when I started my camera up, it crashed and will not work at all. On my apps (snapchat, facebook, twitter) if I want to take a picture, it has to be with the front camera, because there is no option for the rear camera. There is no button to push to get to the rear camera, like their normally was. When I push up the camera icon on the unlock screen, my phone restarts by itself. I don't know what is going on. I downloaded the latest software update the day it came out, and now all of a sudden it stopped working. Can anyone help me?

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device. If you've tried ALL of these steps and the camera is still not functioning, then you almost certainly have a hardware issue and will need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

I reset to factory settings and the camera didn't work. Then I restored my iPhone, and the camera was still not working. So I believe it is a malfunction.
