I connect Apple TV to a home theater projector. Occasionally the connection will fail in the middle of a show (Epson's blue screen of "no input detected"). The sound continues, so the Apple TV hasn't stopped the connection to the source. Jiggling the HDMI connections will usually restore the video. Any idea where the failure is occurring?

I'd be suspicious of the HDMI connection - how long is the lead?
The cable is short -- three feet. The Apple TV box is right next to the projector by design. It's a basic Radio Shack cable (new), not one of those fancy $60 RocketFish models. I'm hoping I didn't shoot myself in the foot for taking the bargain route.
