my entries on my blog disappearing

my entries on my blog disappearing , after i enter several new entires and save them , once i publish to a local folder before publishing online to test the site and test the blog , they vanish from iWeb , i have never experienced this, few years ago i did a site with a blog and published all went well, never had this problem, i just started making a new site and this is what happens , they just vanish, i did them twice and saved , once i publish them to a folder they vanish from iWeb and the publish site in local folder does not have the entries either. blank page. a blog with zero entries. frustrating to say the least. to do all again, i have about 15 entries. proof , place images and set dates from 2007 till today. just absurd. this iWeb is not working man. no clue why. anyone has a clue ? i can't even get to see any backs on time machine. tiered of entering them and seeing them vanish right after i publish for to test on a local folder .

What version of iWeb are you using and what OSX are you using on your Mac?

If you are using iWeb 08 or iWeb 2, then this is not compatible with Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks. You will need to upgrade to iWeb 09 or 3 for it to work correctly with any of these OSX's.

Also, how many domain.sites files do you have? If more than one and if you are using any of the above OSX's, then you'll need to download iWeb Switch to be able to open multiple domain files.

You do realise that iWeb is not supported or sold by Apple and has been unsupported for the last 2 years at least, so now might be a good time to look into using new software to re-build your site?

Take a look at EverWeb at http://www.everwebapp.com. They do not have a blog function as yet, but if you look at their support videos there is a workaround until they release a blog function is another update to the programme.

There is also WordPress.org that you can take a look at and if you have a blog and a website, then just go and re-build your whole website in WordPress instead. WordPress has been improved greatly since it initial days as just a blogging platform and you can build whole websites using it now. There are lots of WordPress sites out there.
