Why will Safari not remember my Google password?
Why does iCloud, Safari never remember to fill in my Google password. It's always blank. So I have to look it up. What's the problem?

Why does iCloud, Safari never remember to fill in my Google password. It's always blank. So I have to look it up. What's the problem?
"This is correct, Googles website does not allow the autosave password feature."
As these are not my words, I'd like the author to prove it.
I'd also like to believe bobseufert, but I haven't been able to autofill a Google Password since Mavericks.
Apple Support:
When using iCloud passwords+Safari AutoFill Passwords
Open Safari
Go to Google.com
UNCLICK Stay Signed In (do not click to use) leave box blank
Fill in gmail account & password.
Account opens up.
Quit Safari
Open Safari
Go to Google.com
AutoFill will fill in correctly BUT
UNCLICK Stay Signed In anytime it is checked.
This does not make sense. But it works w Google on my iMac.
Months of frustration over for now.
In addition to the above solution, Apple suggested:
When signing into my Google Account
First:
Choose "Sign into a Different Account"
Choose the Gmail Account/REMOVE Gmail account
Click the Gmail X icon
"You've removed all accounts"/DONE
Then sign into your gmail account and insert password.
I'm experiencing the exact same problem with Safari 8.0.6. All of a sudden Google decided to stop using autofill. I tried the Apple Support solution but it didn't work.
Thank you for your solution but I just couldn't get it to work for me.
Are these instructions still valid? At what point in your instructions do you tell Safari to save your username and password? Thanks 🙂
I can't say if they were ever valid. For me once I signed into one Google app I was always signed into all their apps and websites. Safari had nothing to do with it.
You should be signed in when you open the app. Do you have cookies blocked. Go to settings> Safari> block cookies> allow from websites I visit. Even though it says Safari it's the only way I can think of to make sure you're not blocking the cookies.
Thanks for your reply. I've checked all devices and I am allowing cookies from every website that I visit ...
You're welcome. Did you fill in the information in your screenshot and the Google sites still don't remember you ?
Once I fill out the information I keep getting prompted by Safari to whether I would like to save my username and password despite the fact it's already been saved. My log in then works throughout until I either quit safari or delete browsing history and website data. What am I missing with this? Why is it just Google & Youtube that seems to be effected by this problem?
Please help me solve this, it's driving me crazy! 🙂
Are you also saving Google with Safari ? If so don't, Google will remember you.
I have tried allowing Safari to save my Google username and password which didn't work. I have also tried telling Safari to not to save my username and password which also didn't work. Google doesn't seem to remember me no matter what? ...
