Jukebox feature for ipod

I would love to see Apple add to their firmware an ability to choose the next song or songs as you would a jukebox without having to create a playlist. It may be available and I just don't know how to use it. Anyway I would love to see where you are listening to a song and could click on menu, go back select another song and click it so it would play after the song currently playing. Following that choosing a song that would play following the one previously chosen. Seems simple make a digital music device work like a juke box why hasn't it been done, or has it?
