Has anyone gotten any updates regarding this issue…!? I've noticed more and more people are coming forward with this problem and I have yet to see or hear anything done about it bye ZAIN..! My last phone call with them they claimed that the issue is somewhat resolved and that if you switch off SMS messaging and just turned on iMessage even if it was waiting for activation you can still send iMessages! I don't think that is true. It hasn't worked for me. And it has a work for anyone else I know. I find it very ironic that our carrier (ZAIN) is sleeping on an issue that is theoretically more profitable for them to have it not fixed. If this issue continues I will move on to VIVA and will move my whole family members, my company staff and everyone else i know. Mobile carriers should not have the power to make such decisions! If the client or the customer wants to use a service that is provided by their phones the decision to block the service should not be given to the carrier. Specially when it profits the carrier not the client.

ITs like when you try to activate Whatsapp for the first time. Don't you get a message with an activation code..? that messge come from out of the country which means its international. But how did that message know that it needs to come because you're trying to activate whatsapp..? It knows because whatsapp made your phone send an international message to whatsapp server requesting that activation code. Zain charges 50 fls for any international message. But they say they remove that charge and you don't pay but i don't really trust them.

Honestly, i highly doubt zain will fix the imessage issue cause its in their benifit to keep it broken. And i highly advise anyone with this problem to try and go to zain building and address this issue. As for me, ive already went their and tried and they promised they will call me or get back to me but they haven't so far. So I'm giving them till after Ramadhan and then i'll be changing my carrier to viva

Yes i know and its sad to see that ZAIN the oldest and most experience carrier in the country push their luck with their clients and mess with a free setvice like imessage. I have been with Zain since 1998. And have put up with many of thier mistakes. But messing with iOS free services is where i will draw the line. After Ramadhan, i'm going with family and many staff memmbers from KOC To change carriers. There must be at least a 137 zain clients on my blog who are planing to do the same. And that number grows every week.

i had some talk with related ZAIN tech personal today. It would appear that the issue have not been by Zain delebrately. As they argue not all zain clients are effected and its true my phone works just fine but my wife's phone is not workig with iMessage. However, it appears to me that zain is not taking the issue seriously enough. And that too will cause a lot of their cleints to move to viva or ooredoo.

i have very low confidence that they will fix it which is why me and a significantly large number of zain clients are moving to a different carrier after Eid. You may think not having the iMessage running on the email and not the phone number is a small issue but when iOS 8 update comes this September there will be a lot of new features that wont work because of this and i highly doubt zain cares really.
