My MacBook Pro recently stopped playing youtube videos if they are playing under the https:// selection. On Safari there is no way to change this without it defaulting, but on Firefox, I was able to get it to work if I just typed in http://. I tried reseting and everything and restarting, but the videos still come up with an "error has occurred" message. Thanks!
I can't reproduce the problem. If all the facts are as you've stated, you seem to ruled everything except a network issue beyond your control, perhaps in Google's internal network.
Can you please try the below step once?Apple support resolved this issue for me.
System Preference-Network-select the current WIFI you are using-Advanced-DSN-Select +
ADD the following DNS servers
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
It should resolve the issue
