removing icloud on ios i no longer have

I've switched from an Iphone 4s to Galaxy S5 and not receiving txts from Iphone users. How do I remove my phone # from I cloud? I no longer have the device. The instructions I have found required PC to have cloud connectivity. I couldn't do it from a work PC.
