App Store in a different country

Hi I've been in the US for almost a year and my friends gave me a 10 dollars gift card.. I only spent 5 dollars and now I'm back in Italy and I'm still logged in in the american app store.. I need to download some apps from the italian store but it won't allow me because I still have 5 dollars on my american account. I tried to buy a movie with my credit card but I had to put in an american address that doesn't match with the address of the credit card, because it's an italian card.. How do I do??

You need to be in a country to use its store - so if you are now in Italy then you can only use the Italian store (a credit card issued by an Italian bank can only be used on an Italian iTunes account). You can contact iTunes Support via this page and ask them to remove the balance from your account so that you can switch to the Italian store : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
