Power Mac G4, QuickSilver, 733Mhz ... Trouble installing OS X

Hi There ...

I have trouble booting and installing OS X on my Power Mac G4, QuickSilver, 733Mhz ...

Mostly it does not post at all . It powers on normally though (hear the normal start up chime and so on), but nothing appears on the display .

I've gotten the OS install (10.3 Panther) through the first cd, but after rebooting the computer does not boot any further than a black screen .

I've tried different HDDs, changing the memory sticks, clearing PRAM (brand new battery), done "CUDA reset" .

The computer does not respond to any start up key commands .

The graphics card is working for sure, I know .

Please help ... this is all beyond my knowledge .

The 10.3 installer disc must look like:

User uploaded file

It can't say Update, Dropin, or OEM.

You may need to use the Startup Manager, as described below for PowerPC Macs:

Use the Startup Manager if 'C' key fails to work

That will also tell you if there is an operating system it can see to boot to. If it can't, and you have data you wish to preserve, you can probably find a data recovery tool or Firewire hard drive with 10.4 PowerPC installed to boot from. Data recovery tools are below:

Just be sure to get one that is known to be PowerPC compatible.

Installing 10.3 and 10.4 are possible with these tips:

10.3 system requirements upgrading to and beyond

Mac OS X Tiger System requirements

this situation's more troublesome than I'd ever expect .

Tried booting off a Apple Hardware Test - CD, worked what it seemed "once in a lifetime", but I couldn't run the tests for the computer wasn't responding to my mouse .

Firewire / Target Disk Mode between Macbook 2009 (Host) / Power Mac G4 QuickSilver (Target) led to nothing but the G4 shutting down itself ...

without even showing a hinch of the Firewire symbol ?!?

More suggestions ... ?

Okay ... ;

My Apple Wired Keyboard / White A1243 arrived today ...

Not a chance to select any of a startup disk,

because even this Apple OEM USB-Keyboard won't power up (not a indicator on CAPS-LOCK, when pressed) .

Anyhow ... could this be the case : Re: Quicksilver 2002 in constant sleeep? Check the CPU board screws for 12v

if so ... then could someone give me basic information concerning this "fix" ?
