hey i just updated my iphone to 7.1.2 and you know what? that makes my phone slow and most of all my wifi button is now grayed out and unable to use, is that the update all about?????
i like apple but you absolutely ruining my interest on you guys! this is unacceptable! you should take an action and take the responsibility to fix this!
Apple is not here. We are all end users like you. And, if you want help, try to not post in a forum for obsolete Apple computer software. I have asked the Hosts to move you to the iPhone forums
You can try this. iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
It is much better to do a restore and update than to actually update it. Backup via iTunes before you update.
thanks allan and also mac. i have done reseting it to default(meaning back as if it is a new phone) and also restored using my back up however both didnt work out. i spoke with one of their support and his manager and hopefully they will bee able to provide a good customer service to me.
If your iPhone 4S is within warranty, it should be a free replacement.
If not, expect to pay $199 USD + tax for an out-of-warranty replacement.
From what I understand after troubleshooting this issue and speaking with Apple, it is a hardware issue and can't be fixed by restoring the phone to factory settings. You will have to get a replacement. If there is a fix for the issue I would definitely like to know as well.
if this is a hardware issue i can say that it is not as good as the quality of 3gs, 1 and a half year has a big difference to 3 years and 6months. what just happened apple?? i have an ipad mini and im in doubt now on updating it to 7.1.2. hope apple can still fix this. still wanna be with them.
