Cannot locate presets folder

I can't locate the folder containing FCP X presets. There is no Final Cut Events folder in the Movies folder. Nothing in the Application Support folder, either. Searched the computer for .cboard with no results. Yet I have presets available within the app. Any ideas as to what's going on?

Each application's preferences are stored inside the ~/Library/Preferences folder. One almost never needs to access the contents of the ~/Library folder and its subfolders, and messing with those files can cause serious issues. That is why this folder is hidden by default.

If you need to clear the preferences, there is a great application Preference Manager, that can do it safely for you. And if you are on 10.1.2, you don't even need a separate application. Just hold down Command and Option while clicking the FCP X icon on the Dock and you'll be asked if you want to delete the preferences. A new default set of preferences will be created for you.
