Can somebody tell me what Mz Finance is?

I was able to resolve this issue yesterday. Let me explain how I did it. The issue was as a result from enabling Two-Factor Authentication on the Apple ID. Since the Two-Factor was enabled, the operating system of the Mac didn't support Two-Factor. You can review the requirements here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205075
Traditionally, as soon as you sign into your account, you should receive a 6 digit code. This 6 digit code is entered immediately after your password. For example, Password123456 and then you'd be able to sign in.
However, this has not been the case. I was able to resolve the issue by going to appleid.apple.com and turning off Two-Factor authentication and restarting the iMac.

I also get this MZ Finance login dialog periodically. Disappointed with your (non)response from Apple. For being so fastidious about apps on the App Store, it seems they would be more interested in this.

I too am getting this now on startup...
I went through the steps I found here somewhere about deleting a preference on my harddrive. Worked for a while and now at startup I am getting the MZfinance popup to enter my itunes password. I don't trust this warning. Why hasn't Apple responded?
Yes, why hasn't Apple replied. Oh yes, I forgot. Apple is a hardware company. Software just gets in the way.
I have noticed that after I clean up my iMac with Onyx and reboot with EverNote automatically loaded at login, that "MZFinance.InAppBuyLoginRequired_message" comes up.
I opened Evernote and that iTunes password request from MZfinance came up... I use the free version now I am disturbed...

I also did a virus scan (SOPHOS) and that did not seem to find anything.
But when seraching with cmd-space I found this link:

For me the extra weird thing is that this friday itunes (and my apple.id) stated that I had to change my password because of "security reasons".
A changed it myself, not clicking the popup but navigating trough apple.com to be safe - all seemed to be fine untill today.
I keep getting popups asking for the password, regular apple id trough itunes as well - and now this one.

I, too, have been receiving the "MZ Finance.InAppBuyLogInRequired_message" recently, and interestingly, like you frensfromdelft, I received a strange Apple email also stating that one of my devices - my iPad mini to be precise - had been "deleted as a trusted device" from my account. This I thought odd as I had not made any changes at all in my account for some time. Like you, I went into my account directly through apple.com, never clicking on any links in the email message, reinstated the device in question, checked everything else and even changed my password. All seemed to be in order.
This MZ Finance message is disconcerting and I'm checking my iTunes account often to be sure there are no purchases or other changes I have not made.
The only common denominators I see for this weird message are: 1) I recently upgraded my Mac to El Capitan from Yosemite OS and did not receive this message prior to this, 2) This message started popping up after the last OS X El Cap and iTunes updates I installed on May 16, 2016, and 3) This message opens up periodically when I launch a third-party app - specifically Byword - that I purchased several years ago from the iTunes store.
Please keep me posted if you learn anything new, and I plan to check this forum often.

I occasionally have the pop box on my desktop wanting me to sign into MZFinance. It just comes on. I am leisurely reading emails that has nothing to do with iTunes. It pops up about once a week. I have never logged in, just cancelled the box. I don't trust what it is and after reading that no one else knows either, I definitely won't be logging in until Apple explains why this is happening.
I agree. It should not still be happening, but it is.
I haven't done any updates and I received the same thing today. I wish Apple would respond to this.
DO NOT LOG IN TO IT!! It's trying to steal your apple store password! It's a virus\malware\spyware, call it what you want. I can't believe Apple is allowing this to happen?? Why would they 'share' potential revenue with anyone?
Just got same popup and did not surrender my password.
my thought is the following:I purchased an Android device the other day and set up my iCloud account on it, and now I get this popup. So it may be possible that
some Android creep is trying to hack Apple accounts via the email user name. MThat might be the connection. But the sad fact that Apple is unaware of this fraud activity is more alarming than the attempt to hack!!!
Apple has no clue or interest. They helped get rid of the pop up, at the expense of all my passwords by deleting my keychain
