Dymo printer not working correctly under Mavericks

I've had a Dymo Twin Turbo label printer for a number of years, and it worked flawlessly until I installed Mavericks. Since then it frequently shows up as disconnected, and the only way to reconnect has been to remove the printer from the printer list in System Prefs, then re-add it. After this it would print fine for a day or so.

Since upgrading to 10.9.4 I can't get anything to print from the Dymo at all. It still frequently disconnects, but once it is connected jobs just hang in the printer queue, and I get the message 'unable to get InputSlot choice'. I've tried pausing/resuming, tried the usual re-adding of the printer, even removed all Dymo software and reinstalled as a completely new printer. Nothing going.

I installed the latest Dymo software (8.5.1) a few months back when it was released, and the printer is connected directly to the Mac as it always has been.

Any ideas?

As we (the social media team) are based in Europe, we trust our U.S. help desk to reply to enquiries from both Americas (they are aware of this thread and the refund offer made).

To speed things up, we invite everyone who would like to receive a refund to tweet @DYMOsupport and DM their name, telephone number and e-mail address so we can expedite such requests.

Hey, guess what...Joe Husk's link to Dymo's latest Updater file finally did the trick (under Mavericks 10.9.5) for my vintage LabelWriter Twin Turbo...

Thanks, Joe! The LabelWriter is happy once again and no longer generates those frustrating "printer offline" error messages. And thanks to Dymo for engineering this fix...definitely wasn't wanting to spend $200 for a new LabelWriter.

Wow, am I glad I found this thread. I thought my Dymo Twin Turbo had broken so I bought *another one* -- but on eBay (so it was older too) and was stumped that that one was not working either.

This worked for me: http://download.dymo.com/dymo/Software/Mac/TwinTurboUpdater.zip

Weirdly I could not find that when I visited the DYMO site! So glad I found it here. Now I have two working printers.

Has ANYONE received a refund from Dymo?

I sent them all the requested information and receipts over a month ago; over two weeks ago "Support" wrote that 'a check has been issued'.

BUT I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND DYMO PROMISED REPEATEDLY, BOTH IN THIS FORUM AND IN EMAILS TO ME, PERSONALLY.
