Waking up problems
I've had Macs for many years and recently retired an old machine and bought a Mac Mini.
For the first few months everything has worked perfectly, but just recently (possibly after a recent update) I have trouble with Mail and Safari when waking my machine up.
Sometimes when waking the machine up I will have several e-mail titles, but no content, sometimes I have e-mails with full content, many will be notifications from forums I am active on. When I click the link in the e mail, Safari starts to go to the web site, and then slows and fails to open the web page. If I try to open google, or any other web page, the same thing happens. At this point I have to restart the Mac, and everything then works fine.
I have tried shutting both Mail and Safari down before putting the machine to sleep, but this does not seem to make any difference.
My e mail is provided by gmail.
