Do I have a GSM or a CDMA iPhone 5?

I have an iPhone 5, model A1429, which I bought from Verizon in the United Sates. I have been reading that if the iPhone was bought from Verizon here then it is CDMA model. When looking on Apple's support page about iPhone models is tell me the A1429: "A1429: iPhone 5 (GSM and CDMA model)." I am somewhat confused by this, is it both? Also, I have unlocked my phone, and used T-Mobile, with a sim card, I have now since moved, and T-Mobile service isn't available here, trying to find another carrier. When using the IMEI number on other carrier websites to determine which sim card I need, it says use a AT&Ts, which I previously believed to only be GSM. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I don't waste a ton of money trying to get a carrier that isn't compatible with my phone.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.2
