How do you turn off the keyboard clicks sound on macbook pro?
Hi,
Anyone knows how do you turn off the keyboard clicks sound?
I tried System Prefs --> Sound --> Sound Effects --> Play feedback when volume is changed.
But no luck.
Thanks.

Does it click if you mute the sound?
Could be something like Sounds4Fun or Keyclick.
yes
Clinton, I did not install any application of that sort.
Keyboard click, spacebar, enter key - all make sound.
I can find no setting for that anywhere.
And can you answer my question, do the keys click if you mute the sound?
I did answer your question.
Yes, it makes same sound even after mute.
Please find below.

Does this happen in Safe Mode?
Had the same problem than understood that it was Punto Switcher making this click sounds.
System Preferences -> Sound -> Uncheck "Play feedback when volume is changed"
There you go 🙂
bingo! thnx a lot!
Go to system preferences---> accessibility---->Keyboard-----> uncheck enable slow keys-----> hit options button----> uncheck key sounds
Omg... I have struggled with this forever. Thank you. Is there anyway to do the same to the tracking pad?
Try this https://spontaneousderivation.com/2012/02/04/turning-on-keyboard-sounds-on-mac-o s-x/
it worked for me.
On Mac OS X 10.12.5, go to accesibility > keyboard > click options in "Enable Slow Keys". You'll find "Use click key sounds"
