Quicktime can't play RTSP streams

Quicktime can't play RTSP streams

I can't watch any rtsp stream in quicktime anymore (for example rtsp://a2047.v1412b.c1412.g.vq.akamaistream.net/5/2047/1412/1 h264_350/1a1a1ae555c531960166df4dbc3095c327960d7be756b71b49aa1576e344addb3ead1a4 97aaedf11/sept_2006_1350.mp4)
With vlc it works (it crashes quite often ... very anoying) I have upgraded to QT 7.1.3 with no better result.

I also see this message in the console log:
Qt: internal kernel/qeventloop_mac.cpp: 262 WH0A

Thanks in advance for any hints...

Yes, the link is not the issue I can view it with VLC but for some reason quicktime refuses to play that type of stream....

Link (Apple's "showime in QT" webcast) worked fine in QT for me.

understand but no problem with QT and that stream here.
Trash one time all QT prefs and re-try! (if you have QT pro, write down the number before you trash the prefs)

I did it with no success.
I'll probably reinstall OS X one day ... hoping that the issue will be solved.
I really don't know what could be the issue.

I've found the solution here:

Basically in QT preferences/Advanced/Transport Setup, I've set Transport Protocol to HTTP instead of UDP.
