Can't log into Telegraph Puzzles Page!

Help! Down loaded Mavericks about 5 days ago as an update. Suddenly, today, can't log into Telegraph Puzzles page. Telegraph Customer Services say 'it's a Safari' problem. Please...has anybody had and solved the problem?

I can access the main puzzle page from my MacBook Pro running a fully updated Mavericks. However, I do not use that site, so you will have to wait for someone who has an account there to test it from their end.

In the meantime, here are some thoughts:

  • some third-party popup blockers can interfere with log-in pages, as can anti-virus/internet security software. Running any of those?
  • What extensions do you have installed in Safari? Try turning off all extensions and trying a login.

I have exactly the same problem - can't access the crossword or puzzles at all on either my iPad or iMac. After ringing the Telegraph's so-called 'helpline" and being told 'it's a Safari problem, either use Chrome or contact Apple' -and then trying with Chrome - fail - I did a bit of research on the Internet. I found a website called standalone.com and there you can download their puzzles app (via Apple's App Store) and register your Telegraph Puzzle subscription details and behold! - you can do the Telegraph crossword on your ipad. Long-winded, but better than nowt, as we say up north. There's supposed to be a facility for printing the crossword, but it misses some of the clues. I've contacted the developers of this App and they're going to iron out this bug ASAP.

Hope that helps a bit?! I'm having to rely on my partner (Windows PC) to print the crossword every day and suffer the usual Windows versus Apple comments.

Thanks, that sounds good, and I'll try Standalone. The helpdesk at Telegraph told me to download an app called Crux,(£2.99) in order to access their puzzles, but you can't print from that. It's useful enough, but since I don't think it's fair when we've already paid a subscription. The Telegraph should follow the Gardian's example and make it available free online and to print.
