Make text into a hyperlink

Oh great it didn't work. Typing Apple. com in an email turned it into a link

You're welcome. Thanks for the tip. To make it work after I paste the URL into the letter how do I edit it from the middle and change it to another word ?

I even went so far as to send the link to myself. No dice. 😟 I turned blue; the link remained unchanged.

I was able to create the URL in Notes, then copy it and paste it to iMail, insert my chosen word inside the URL and erase the rest of the URL.
