error=-3253

I have 5 movie downloads hanging right now. "There was a problem downloading ... The network connection was reset." Next to each item is the message (err=-3253). Anyone have an idea on what caused this and what can I do to fix it? This has me really ticked at this point.

This problem seems to be not a new one. Going through the last 4 days of posted messages I have not found an answer to it. After deleting my cache (approx. 2.5 GB of downloaded data) download still stopps showing errors 8003, -3253, -3259, etc. Also the order of the download is not congruent with the seasons playlist.
Is there any technician checking on this persistent server issue?

Regards, Axel

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I have not activated Firewall. Now - when downloading - I even get new error numbers: -9006, -1000008.
I reduced the downloads to one (1) of my 15 remaining Prison Break episodes (The Old Head); usually iTunes starts to download more than one.
Download was stopped after 504.0 MB of 504.9 MB (err = 9006). After trying to resume download a message "the file seems to be corrupted..." appeared showing an error -100008. The Downloads cache was reset/deleted to zero!

I might add that I never had troubles downloading TV Shows before using iTunes 7 and my ISP says he has not changed any settings either.
I would very much appreciate if I could get some advise how to receive/download the purchased Season 1 of Prison Break from the iTunes server.

I purchased a movie and the entire 2nd season of Lost 2 days ago, as I am getting ready for a trip overseas. I get err=9006 with every attempt to download these files.

It's not a local firewall/av problem, nor is this an ISP issue (I can transfer large files all day long from anywhere else).

Just for kicks I went and bought a song to add to my download queue. It downloaded perfectly. I then immediately tried downloading one of the video files, and sure enough... it failed (this was one I had not previously tried to download, so there isn't a cache problem).

Here I am trying to plan ahead, knowing size of the files would take alittle while to download. I bought them 2 days before I am to leave town. Now, I'm just out the $50 and won't have anything to watch on my flight!

Ever since I've upgraded to iTunes 7, I can't download music. I've only tried twice to purchase ( a week apart) but each time it takes forever and then the network connection was reset error:

I try to Check for Purchases because the songs aren't downloaded and it sits there forever and then the error pops up :

Unable to check for purchases. The network connection was reset
Make sure your network connection is active and try again.

I don't have Firewall turned on, I can surf iTMS and don't have any other noticeable issues on my computer, just can't purchase!!

It's a pain! Need to try not to be bleeding edge when it comes to Apple software (have been successful until now), maybe their quality is slippin' a bit?

I also had this problem I downloaded a CD today and although 9 of the 10 tracks downloaded the last track wont download and it comes up with this error 3253. I have updated iTunes to 7 and still I get the error. I have never had this problem before. I have shut down my firewall to see if that might be the problem but that doesn't work. Is Apple doing anything about this problem as I see a lot of posts about it. Anyone any suggestions on who we should complain to and try and get this sorted
Thanks

This is a major issue. Ever since upgrading to 7.0.1.8 I cannot download videos from the iTunes store without getting the Error=-3259 error and having to start over and check for purchases and try again... Very frustrating!!

Sometimes it will process the download and when it's finished my system says "Processing File" and iTunes locks up and never finishes the file save. When I check my purchase history, the missing episode is not there in the list. When I click on the Buy Now button I get the error that I have already purchased the episode, etc. I have to then Report a Problem and wait for someone at apple to put the episode back in my download queue. This has got to be fixed OR Apple needs to pull version 7.0 and replace with the last Version 6.0 until they get this fixed!
