Hi, I was restoring my iPod and everything went fine until it was restarting with the apple logo and loading symbol. My iPod's home button hasn't been working in a while so I use assistive touch. Now the iPod is stuck in recovery mode and I can't press the home button, I don't know what to do. Pls help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Try repairing it on warranty. I've got the same problem on my iPod Touch 4G and Apple changed my iPod to the new one with no problems.

That's too bad. Because the standard way to solve iPod/iPad/iPhone stuck in recovery mode is use the home button and power button. In your case, I think you should use iPhone Data Recovery software to restart your device in one click or have your iPod repaired.

Press down the Home and Power buttons on your iPod until it shuts off.
Connect it to your computer with the USB cable.
Press and hold down the Home button.
Hold it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.
Now you should be able to Restore using iTunes.
