Should I delete iCloud when switching phones?

i might be switching to an android and I was just curious should I delete icloud? I don't have an iPad or a Mac. What will deleting iCloud do?

Deleting your iCloud account from your phone will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. You can't actually delete an iCloud account, you can only choose to stop using it. If you want to keep the data on your phone, you'll want to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll and email any notes that you are syncing with iCloud to yourself, then choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted after deleting the account.
If you are switching to a non-Apple phone you'll want to be sure to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime (go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and to Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID and sign out. If you have an iCloud account with a storage upgrade, you'll also want to downgrade to the free account so your upgrade doesn't renew.
