I hope Allan will continue his help (thanks already): I am travelling for 34 hours.

The Trusteer software does not help at all and is crap.

Remove all entries in SystemPreferences->Accounts->LoginItems with the minus sign underneath, then restart (the Lacie Assistant is there 23 times (sic!).

Better to uninstall all Lacie Software if possible.

I do not trust OxsemiDevice driver, but I will look in that when I am back home.

Restart and empty the trashbin.

Uninstall Java and test to find out if you actually need it. Test to see if anything on your Mac complains about the lack of Java and then decide if you really need that or not. Once you know what is using Java then you can decide if you need it.

I delete it off of my Mac years ago and have not missed it yet.

Publish the report here so that we can analyze it.

Back again.

Good that trusteer is gone.

You removed Java from the SystemPreferences, but it is very difficult to remove all the leftovers, so we will leave it at removing the one plist that is loaded:

in Finder go to the following folder: MacintoshHD->Library->LaunchDaemons and in there delete

com.oracle.java.JavaUpdateHelper.plist

and also

com.oracle.java.Helper-Tool.plist

Heb je de Lacie apps ergens voor nodig? Zoniet, uninstall them with the (Lacie uninstaller), but at least do as I said before:

"Remove all entries in SystemPreferences->Accounts->LoginItems with the minus sign underneath, then restart (the Lacie Assistant is there 3 times (sic!)."

I will look into OXsemi later today.

OXsemi has to go: a WesternDigital "tool" that is meant for Windows mainly. In Mac these "smart" "extra" tools are superfluous and most of the time counterproductive.

Normaly when you have a new WD disk, you have to format it for Mac, and then use it as is, Mac handles that perfectly well.

The WD disks are fine for mac, but the software is not liked at all and sometimes even crapping the mac.

After you uninstall it, maybe time for a last etrecheck to see if it is clean.
