Hi guys , Is there a way i can play a region 1 dvd on my macbook pro thats 18 months old ?

If you have not changed regions 5 times or more you should be able to. After 5 region changes, the player id locked on the last region played.

Ciao.

DVD players are now very inexpensive, so you may want to get one for a specific region.

Purchase an inexpensive external DVD player for region 1 and you should be in business. You may thank the Hollywood plutocrats for this situation.
