Download and run Find Any File to search for files with "cleanmymac" and "macaw" in the file name. If you find any you can drag them from the search results window to the Desktop for deletion.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.
OT
I read in a couple of places that warned against trying to uninstall with the app itself. I can't see anything visibly on my Mac, and I'm afraid to reinstall it for fears things may even get worse. This app is like the Cholera virus.
"CleanMyMac" is a scam and a common cause of instability and poor performance. The developer's instructions don't completely remove it. Follow those instructions, then do as below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Repeat with this line:
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac2.Agent
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Never again install "CleanMyMac" or anything like it.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
That's the link several others have linked to. What I would do is download and run Find Any File to search for files with "cleanmymac" or "macaw" in the file name. Then run the installer and do another search with FAF to see if any are left. Any that you find can be dragged from the search results window to the Trash in the Dock.
FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages. If there a files that the uninstaller missed with those file names FAF will find them.
Ah Ha, I thinkl I got rid of all 17 files with the find any file app. Thanks OT, you're awesome, and thanks to the rest of you too. I'm going to wait a day or so before before I call it a victory. I thought I had it all deleted before too. That app should be illegal and banned from the internet.

What do you have against macaws?
This was very helpful. The CleanMyApp app could not be found using Spotlight search! The CleanMyMac plists were not here, but this provided a clue to find them on my machine. The plist was located in my user path, not the system path, i.e. /Users/<username>/Library/LaunchAgents. In the plist, the actual App location was defined: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/CleanMyMac 3/CleanMyMac 3 Scheduler.app
(I couldn't find the PrivilegeHelperTool under either /Library or ~/Library/)
Thanks!
Linc, that's a little over my head, but I'll see if I can do it.
Ive just ran EtreCheck. It shows MacPaw but when I follow these instructions I get nothing but an Iobit thing. I deleted that just in case. I know I have MacPaw but can't find it...
Do like OT says. It worked for me. If it can get rid of Mac's worst nightmare App, Clean my Mac, it can get rid of yours.
Done.. thanks!
I know this is a very old post but it assisted me in deleting the last MacPaw files. Thanks Linc!
