My iPhone 5s presents a blurry picture when using Face Time, but not when I use the camera (forward facing). It's in a Lifeproof container. How can I fix this?

My iPhone 5s is in a Lifeproof container, and when I try to Face Time, my picture is blurry. If I use the same camera to take a self picture, it is very clear. How can I fix this?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2
