Help!

OK so my iphone 4 headphones was dipped inside of the vaseline. I lost the cap of my vaseline and both of my headphones and vaseline are in a same small packet so when i grabbed my headphones theres vaseline all over and got it inside. how do i clean rhe vaseline off ? Especially the mini holes on the top of the headphones not the main one. it got it inside! Help! How should i clean it w/out damaging ?
