Your issue may be the inverter board and not the cable. Usually with a cable the issue comes and goes when you move the screen, but not always. No, simply stating that you have a black macbook is like calling an auto repair shop and saying that you have a black car and asking what's wrong with it.

Looks like the cable in question being identical throughout "The Black Period".

Looking at it right now it seems easier to patch than waiting for a replacement. Will report back if it wasn't.

Mine is a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 13-inch Mid 2007, heavily hacked.

MacAdikt stated his is a BLACK MacBook. Isn't that a prcise enough description of his model ? I got the same problem and would be grateful for some specific information/link.
