Whenever I go into the Mail program, the program is unable to retrieve any new mail. A small ! logo appears next to the Inbox icon the left side of the application screen. When I click on it, a dialog box appears telling me that the IMAP server is temporarily unavailable.
This problem has only just started occuring today, Sept 18. In the past, when I have had problems with Mail, I have been able to access it through the internet via .Mac. That is not working in this instance.
Under the mail section on the toolbar on the left side, there is an orange ! logo and a message saying "Your information could not be displayed." There is a link to try again, but I have clicked it to no avail.
I only posted in this thread because the problem has manifested itself again. The symptoms are the same as before; I cannot access my email through the Mail application or through .Mac. The system status in the lower left of the .Mac screen indicates that mail should be online. That is decidedly not the case.
