Original case color change

I know I will void my warranty if I change the case color of my new 5c; would Apple change it out at my expense? If so, any idea of cost? Mine is blue & I literally hate blue. Have tried numerous cases but the blue still shows in areas. I purchased an unlocked 5c with no contract for a lot of money, they only had blue, so when I picked it up it was blue - I should have not accepted it but didn't realize changing case color would be such an issue. I am willing to pay Apple to change it; only other option would be to wait until damaged & pay the replacement cost with Square Trade.

Honestly, your best bet is to use your square trade warranty and hope they send you a check and reimburse you for the iPhone so you can purchase the color you like. Apple will not replace the color since you decided to buy blue, there is no possible way for them to switch the polycarbonate back unless its for a replacement of the entire unit, in which case, you will still end up with a blue iPhone.

Hope this helps.

Thank you both for such a prompt reply. Lyssa's suggestion would cost me a substantial loss on the resale and then again at the repurchase which I can't personally justify

Kevbot96 is along the lines of my thought; although this ends up being a phone that I don't break the screen of, I could own a blue phone for quite dome time.

This is the type if issue that I disagree with Apple on. They seem to be extremely rigged, even when owner is willing to compensate them for the change/repair. It could easily be remedied by their supplying their vendors with a color selection. IMHO they force the consumer to identify which carrier has the phone/color they want which is not the best way to select a carrier!

In the the future, I would buy directly from Apple & be without any phone while awaiting shipment & have to do the set up without assistance. Thank you again for your input.
