my sound only works when headphones are plugged in

So I had headphones plugged in, and then when I unplugged them the sound stopped. Now when I try to have audio without headphones, it doesn't work. My sound is all the way up, but underneath it it has a circle with a line and the icon at the top is gray. It also says on my input audio, that I have a line in, but I do not.
