Does Showtime Anytime work for anyone else? I get "There was an error in the application, try again." or it just tries to access Showtime Anytime and just spins.
Was this app not tested prior to release?

how can there only be a few people noticing this so early after launch? Everyone was begging for this app and it doesn't work...
I don't know. You would think they would test this out prior to releasing it out though. I'm sure it's not a cable provider issue since this is happening before I can even login via my cable credentials (ATT Uverse, btw). I guess I'm not entirely surprised since the iPhone app is horrible as well but just wish this one worked considering I can't use A&E, History, or Lifetime because AT&T hasn't struck a deal with whomever they need to yet for me to be able to utilize the apps.

Works on one appleTV and not the other. Newer appleTV is the one giving the error message. What is going on?!
I wish I had something to add to this, but I don't. The app is not working on my Apple TV 3, hasn't worked once since it showed up on the device. What's more annoying than that, however, is the fact that I have contacted Apple and Showtime both via e-mail and twitter (sho), and no one is responding.
How did this get released, and why hasn't it been patched yet? Terrible experience.
I too have yet to hear anything from either side. It's quite obvious they they do not care. Since the Showtime app for iPhone is also horrible, I'd venture to say most of the blame is on the side of Showtime. Honestly debating on if I want to continue to pay them money for the few decent movies they have now that Weeds is over.

Restoring the Apple TV worked for me.
a full restore, not a re-set.....
We cannot get it to connect with ESPN or Bloomberg or other channels. Guess that recent update was a mistake...
I thought about it but really didn't want to put in all of my passwords to every app again. I'll try this tonight though.

Yea, it was a 3 hour ordeal for me. I normally use the remote app on my phone to control atv and realized I couldn't find the apple remote until after I started the restore process. I had to buy 1keyboard for $10 to gain controll remotely and even then I had to restore the atv 3 times until the virtual keyboard finally connected at the main set up screen. After setup Showtime works but why should users need to go through this process just for that app?
