My U2 album is not showing up!
Is there some kind of delay?

Is there some kind of delay?
iPad, iOS 7.1.2
I now have the album!
I went to the iTunes store, searched for U2, clicked on the new album, and it showed up with the usual greyed-out, un-clickable 'purchased' button. clicking on the album icon above makes the page re-load and I noticed that the grey 'purchased' button (very) briefly switched to a white 'free' button. Marshalling all of my iOS game-playing reaction-time training, I clicked the album and quickly clicked the 'free' button before it switched to 'purchased'. This brought up a dialog box telling me that my iTunes acct/apple-id was incorrect. I entered the correct one and, voila, the album downloaded.
Perhaps folks with issues recently changed their iTunes password and somehow the old one is 'stuck' on an apple server and/or in the bowels of their iTunes acct? I suggest this simply because I recently changed my iTunes PW (a few weeks back). I've had a number of dialog boxes requesting the new password even though I've updated it multiple times on the same machines and services. These requests seem to be fading away but it makes me think that old passwords can get lodged in the digital crevices.
Anyway, hope this helps somebody.
BTW: I'm not much of a U2 fan, but I am a fan of free stuff... That said, this is quite a nice album from what I've heard thus far.
Thanks Dale, that Ninja quick click thing worked for me
and me.
and me too
Yup. That's what it took. And then it shows that it's been there since the 6th. If I had "iCloud" active, which I thought I had, it would have appeared all on its own to my surprise days ago.
On my iPad, I finally figured out how to find it.
For me, the trick was to turn iTunes Match off, then it showed up in my library after about 5 seconds. Turn iTunes Match on again, and all's well.
Probably the real issue is that iTunes has a cache for it's music library, and anything that causes it to clear the cache will make the U2 album show up. Wait long enough, and it will clear itself without doing anything - but who knows how long that would take.
Thanks !!! it worked for me 😀
This was the problem for me....Thanks Hersco!
Dale's Ninja Trick™ worked for me. Thanks.
Thanks Dale - that 'trick' worked like a charm!!
Turns out the easiest thing to do is while in iTunes->iTunes Store be sure you are on the home page (click the little house button if you need to). Then click on the Purchased link right under Quick Links on the right hand side. My U2 Songs of Innocence showed up there under Recent Purchases. Just click on the download tab in the album cover to download it.
This worked for me too, just need to be quick
Dale,
You are fabulous. I think what is going on is that if you are not "logged in" to iTunes, the site don't recognize that there is a download option. I did as you suggested and refreshed the page and quickly clicked on the "Free" button. It gave my an iTunes log-in screen. When I logged in, I was able to easily download the album. Thanks for your input!!
It is in my library (after as suggested, show iTunes in the cloud purchases was checked) - however, when I click play, I get: "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. If you download past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days." and a choice to Cancel or Transfer. I don't know what to do - I did not download the album with an old Apple ID...
