How do I remove the free U2 album from my iTunes library?

So we all have a free U2 album in our iTunes library now. I don't like U2 and don't want it. I get an option to 'hide' it in iTunes, but not to delete it. How can I remove it entirely from my library in iCloud? I have just been to iCloud.com, but can't see anything there.

King_Penguin posted in another thread that Apple have now added an option to fully remove the U2 album from our accounts! It is as this link: itunes.com/soi-remove

I can confirm it works for me.

Thanks to Apple for implementing this option, and to King_Penguin for letting us know about it.

Thanks for removing my post apple. All I said was it doesn't work and removed by host. Classy

You are breaking the Terms Of Use that YOU yourself agreed to when you joined these forums. If you did not read them, then you are at fault and will continue to have posts removed that break the aforementioned TOU. Not by I, but by the Moderators of these Forums.

Comprehend?

no I did not get an email stating why if I knew why do you think I would ask. I'm simply stating that I have no option to delete the song. is that violating any terms of service?

You received an email in whatever account address you signed into these Forums with. And if you cannot understand or comprehend the instructions here as to hiding the U2 Album, as it is causing such stress and trauma to your life, then there is not much more anyone can do for you. Have you called your lawyer yet? Pain and suffering, etc.?

Or start your own thread so we can ignore it and stop piggybacking off someone else's thread as you are doing.

Good luck

Because this is the Apple live chat support told me to do it. I had already hid the album in my account but had 1 song that was downloaded and would not delete. Every time you tried to swipe to delete (like you're suppose to) it didn't work!

It was this option or backing up my whole phone and resetting it! Having to resync my music was much easier than resetting my whole phone!

My music library is no longer a private space, a company can slip their own material in without asking me. This is one more private space removed. I've hidden the album but it's still in recently added playlist which now renders that feature useless. This is a disrespectful act by apple.

Sue them and stop bothering us. We are not Apple. We are other users like you (well perhaps less paranoid and realistic) who simply try to help other users. You don't require help. you just want to whinge.

OK, so it still won't hurt to try the reset. However, that may not "fix" the issue.

As I previously indicated, you have a couple of strange things going on here which point to the software/device not working in the "normal" way. A reset may fix it, but the Beta version may also be contributing to the issue.

As petermac stated, if after the reset, you continue to have issues, post them to the developer's forum. If the software itself is the cause of the issues, then it needs to get into the Developer's forum so it can be looked at. Or, they may have better insight as to what, exactly is amiss here.

But I cannot emphasize enough that a reset may clear up all of the issues you are seeing....

I Asked that from the beginning and people like Pete said ask a child or read back a few for instruction. So yes I asked this about 4 pages ago

You asked? In the Posts that were DELETED because according to the terms of service for iOS Beta, you are not to discuss the problems on this forum. My ESP, being on the fritz, never saw those DELETED posts.....
