I want to have U2s Songs of Innocence in my library, however it doesn't appear to be there? When I try to manually download from the iTunes Store it says that I have already purchased it and so cannot download again?
How do I acquire this album?😕

It's not in mine, either. It says "Purchased" when I view the album in the iTunes Store, but it's nowhere to be found in my Music library.

I'm having the same issue. Says purchased in iTunes Store but is nowhere to be found in Library.
I got it to download on my iMac by signing out of my apple account and then signing back in. Still doesn't work on my iPhone
No luck with romad's suggestion. I see the album but there is no "free" button. The album shows up as "purchased" but does not let me download.

Under "preferences" go to the "store" section and make sure "Shoe iTunes in the Cloud purchases" is selected.
This worked for me:
Go to the page for the album and click on the photo of the album. For me, this will cause the button below to briefly (about three or four seconds) switch from "Purchased" to "Free," then back to "Purchased."
If you click the button while it reads "Free," the album will download.
I suspect this is an iTunes Store issue which will get fixed at some point.

This worked for me;
I logged out from itunes on my imac
went to itunes store and searched for the U2 album, then it said free, not purchased as before
when I clicked free, I had to login to start downloading,
now the music is in the library and I was also able to find it on my iphone and ipad.
That worked for me. But I had a lot less than 3-4 seconds to do it. Had to do it in less than a second, but I eventually got it.
William K's workaround worked. Too bad that the whole "it's in your iTunes now" magic didn't work out the way they wanted it to. S would not be impressed.
