iPhone 6 Contract Free/T-Mobile?

The iPhone 6 will launch in USA with the usual carriers but I am going to Florida on holiday next week all the way from sunny England. My plan was to purchase the $650 iPhone 6 Contract free option so that I could simply place my Three Network sim inside and then just use it as normal. My question is this; When using the US Apple Store website the iPhone 6 'Contract Free' option is labelled as 'T-Mobile', will it come unlocked to any network, or will it be locked to T-Mobile?

Thanks

A concerned Brit!

Just inserted an ATT simcard on the iphone 6 (witch i got on pre sale on the apple website) and it is working just fine. everything is perfect, it is unlocked, no worries about anything. and for those using it in another country, i inserted a Venezuelan simcard and is working just fine in roaming. So YES, you will be able to use it internationally as well. Good luck everyone

You are right, iPhone 6 T-mobile contract free (A1549) is not works with all carrier using 4G LTE. This model A1549 uses FDD-LTE, but some carriers only use TDD-LTE, like China Mobile. Every models have their own works spectrum.

Model A1586 ((iPhone 6 sim-free) works well with FDD or TDD-LTE. Just be careful.

USA iphone 6 works in the UK

An iphone 6 bought from an Apple shop in the USA last week works in the UK as the one I bought works fine with my UK sim card in when I just got back
You must buy the expensive T mobile contract one .Put your UK sim card in BEFORE turning it on and then activate in the usual way
They did this in the set up section of the Apple store for me
There was no problem buying on from the Apple store and stock is available despite what the Apple.com store says!!!
I ordered in the morning by telephoning the Apple store close to my location there and collected the same day

My comment is correct and I do not post untrue information

If you buy an iphone6 in the USA you have 2 choices

1. Contract tied to AT &T,Verizon and Sprint - these will not work with a UK sim card until after your contract is finished and the US carrier unlocks it-I believe 1 year minimum. My US based son has one of these

2. The contract free T mobile one which is more expensive but will take any UK sim card as the one I bought does and works fine here since I arrived back

Apple describe the T mobile phone as contract free but it is sim free as well- confusing I know but Apple want UK people to buy the UK phone at a higher price !!

The phones from 1 will not work with a UK sim card as my son found out visiting here in late September with a AT &T iphone6

Buying the T mobile one saves money too and you get get the local tax refunded at the big airports on leaving the US

HI this is incorrect. ANY iPhone 6 from the U.S. will work in the UK on all our 4g networks. They have such a large spectrum of connected wave bands now on the iPhone this is no longer a worry. You just need tI get one that isn't in contract.

If that is correct why have Apple produced Models for US use and different models for use on 4G elsewhere in the world hardly for fun ?
